Box Score SUDBURY, Ont. - Remaining undefeated through the first four games of the season, the Durham College men's soccer team defeated the Cambrian Golden Shield 7-0 in Sudbury on Sunday afternoon.
The Lords outscored their northern opponents by a combined 17-0 against the Golden Shield and Cougars this weekend.
Like the day prior it took just minutes for DC to find the back of the net as
Colin Reilly (Whitby, Ont.) put the Lords ahead 1-0 in the fourth minute. Durham added three more goals before the half with Reilly scoring from the penalty spot in the 25th,
Joshua Lee (Oshawa, Ont.) netting one in the 27th and
Isiah Passley (Pickering, Ont.) adding one in the 42nd.
The offence continued for the Lords in the second half as Lee made it a hat-trick with a 48th minute goal and another successful penalty kick for the Lords in the 54th. Passley rounded out the scoring with his second of the match in the 70th.
Kevon Grant (Oshawa, Ont.) and
Dylan Toland (Ajax, Ont.) split time again to pick up the clean sheet for DC.
Durham now returns to Vaso's Field on Friday, Sept. 27 to challenge the St. Lawrence Vikings before a showdown with the Algonquin Thunder the next day.. Kick-off for the Friday night matchup is set for 8:15 p.m., while Saturday gets going at 3:15 p.m.
