Centennial Colts Men look to bounce back ahead of Friday night tilt with La Cité Coyotes

SCARBOROUGH - The Centennial Colts Men’s basketball team is back in action Friday evening when they take on the visiting La Cité Coyotes at the Progress Campus in Scarborough.

The Colts (1-2) come into the ballgame having dropped their last matchup last week on the road against the Georgian Grizzlies 85-72.

Covaun Armstrong led the way for the fellas in lime green, dropping 20 points on 9-20 shooting while adding eight boards and a trio of assists in the defeat. He comes into Friday evening’s game averaging 22.0 ppg -- tops amongst all Colts -- while shooting 51%/34.8%/88.9%.

For the visiting Coyotes (0-3), their tough start leaves them as the lone winless team in the OCAA’s Eastern Conference.

The program dropped their third straight on Sunday afternoon to the Seneca Sting 76-54. Guard Nicolas Dutervil has been one of the bright spots for the Coyotes, as his 26.3 ppg ranks second in the entire OCAA.

This is the first meeting between the teams this season, while the Centennial Colts lead the all-time head-to-head 6-2 dating back to the 2016-17 season.
