KING CITY, Ont. - The Durham Lords men's basketball team fell short, 91-84, on the road versus the Seneca Sting on Tuesday night in King City.
A tough season overall for DC, the loss marks their eighth straight dropping their record to 3-12 with just five games remaining in the regular season. Durham did have a strong night, leading 45-40 at the half and shooting nearly 50 percent from the field, but late game turnovers and 12 Seneca three-pointers proved costly to the bid to end the losing slide.
The Lords will look to the support of the home crowd following the conclusion of a three-game road trip as they return to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre this Friday, Feb. 7 to challenge the Centennial Colts. The night will also see the Durham Lords honour their three fall championship teams in a special pre-game ceremony, recognizing national championship baseball and men's soccer teams, and provincial champion men's rugby. Tip-off for the contest is set for 8 p.m. with the special ceremony slated for 7:30 p.m. The game will also be streamed onÂ
