Mountaineers men's basketball couldn't mount a comeback in the fourth quarter, as they dropped their final regular season game 81-73 to the Lambton Lions.

Mohawk and Lambton played a close game in the first two quarters, with the Lions leading by three at half.

Lambton found their offensive game in the third quarter to take a 15 point advantage.

The Mountaineers came back in the fourth to cut the lead to six with under three minutes to play, but the Lions answered back with a run of their own to keep the game out of reach.

Mohawk's Deandre Goulbourne (Toronto, ON) once again came off the bench for a solid game, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Daniel Graham (Hamilton, ON) continued to be an important part of the Mountaineers offense with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. Emanuel Otong (Cambridge, ON) scored 10 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter.

The Mountaineers conclude the season 3-6 and will travel to play the Humber Hawks on Mar. 9 in the OCAA quarterfinals. Start time of the game is still to be determined.
