*2022 OCAA Championship Host

A single-division format will remain for 2022 with the addition of the Lambton Lions (Sarnia) and Sheridan Bruins (Mississauga) who are making their OCAA debuts. Teams will play a triple round robin format consisting of one doubleheader and one single "neutral" site game against each club totalling 24 games each.

The field will be chasing the Durham Lords (Oshawa) and their record 21 OCAA championships. The reigning gold medalists will throw out the first official pitch of the 2022 season when they host the reigning bronze medalist Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) on Sept. 9. The following two days will feature 17 single games involving all teams at various locations, including Mohawk Sports Park (Hamilton), Alumni Field (London), Connorvale Park (Etobicoke) and Seneca’s Newnham Campus (North York).

The Fanshawe Falcons (London) debut at home on Sept. 10 against the Seneca Sting (North York) and Sheridan as does the Mohawk Mountaineers (Hamilton) in single games against the St. Clair Saints (Windsor) and Conestoga Condors (Kitchener). Humber also plays its home opener on Sept. 10 in a single contest against Lambton. Seneca will host two single games on Sept. 11 against Mohawk and Durham.

The newest OCAA programs will make their home debuts on back-to-back days. Lambton plays its home opener in a doubleheader against Fanshawe on Sept. 14, while Sheridan plays a twin bill against Mohawk on Sept. 15.

Conestoga plays its home opener in a doubleheader against Seneca on Sept. 18. Reigning OCAA silver medalist St. Clair begins the season with 10 consecutive road games before hosting Durham in a doubleheader on Sept. 25 in what is a rematch of the 2021 OCAA gold medal game.

A total of 108 games are planned over a span of 37 days. As inclement weather can more often than not interrupt the OCAA schedule, Oct. 17-18 has been designated as a period to make up potential rainouts.

The top six teams at the conclusion of the regular season - including host Fanshawe - move on to the OCAA championship. (If Fanshawe finishes below sixth place, it will replace the sixth seed.) The modified double knockout tournament will take place Oct. 20-22 at Alumni Field in London. The top two teams advance directly to the double knockout, while the remaining four play a sudden death game to advance to the double knockout stage.

All OCAA schedules for the 2022-23 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
