Dei Baning helped Humber clinch its second consecutive regular season pennant. The fourth-year outfielder played in four games, finishing with a slash line of .400/.538/1.200. Looking to clinch the division against George Brown on Oct. 13, the Hawks were trailing by two with five outs remaining. Dei Banning hit his second homer of the week, a two-run home run to tie the game. Humber eventually won 5-3. Dei Baning and his teammates will now look to defend their provincial title at the OCAA Men's Baseball Championship from Oct. 18-19 hosted by Durham.

Cory Lapointe

Program: Environmental Technology
Year of Eligibility: 3

Lapointe played a part in every one of Durham's goals in its 3-1 home finale victory over Fleming on Oct. 11. The win clinched a home playoff match for the Lords. Lapointe assisted on Durham's first goal, sending a perfect pass through Fleming's defence to the foot of first-year standout Makayla Rudder. She went on to put herself in perfect position to pot home a rebound from a Rudder shot in the 38th minute to score the game-winning goal. Lapointe then repeated the result of the first marker with an another pinpoint pass to Rudder in the 75th minute.

Becky Leese

Leese has been a huge part of Algonquin's 2019 push. The fourth-year midfielder scored twice in a 6-0 victory over St. Lawrence on Oct. 11. Leese is currently tied for second in league scoring with 10 goals this season, scoring in seven of eight matches she participated in. With an 8-1 record, Algonquin will finish the year in second place in the East Division, and await its opponent for this Saturday's opening round playoff match, with the winner earning a berth into the OCAA Women's Soccer Championship hosted by Redeemer from Oct. 23-26.

Mahmoud booted a hat trick in Cambrian's 6-2 win over Sault in a Battle of the North on Oct. 12. The third-year midfielder ends his regular season with four goals. The victory ended a prolonged losing streak for Cambrian (although undefeated in two October matches), but more importantly, allowed the Golden Shield to clinch a post-season berth while eliminating Sault. Cambrian will take the pitch this Saturday against the still to be determined West Division champion, with a berth to the OCAA Men's Soccer Championship on the line.

On Seniors Night, Pierson made the final start of her career at Connorvale Park on Oct. 8. Pierson, the author of two previous no-hitters, struck out 12 Seneca hitters over five innings. Pierson finishes the season with an impressive 0.00 ERA in 13 2/3 innings of work.
