With varsity sports and recreation activities currently on hiatus due to the global pandemic, the OCAA will shine a spotlight on memorable games from the previous 2019-20 season.

Our feature Game of the Week is the gold medal game of the 2019 OCAA Men's Rugby Championship between the Georgian Grizzlies and Durham Lords which took place Nov. 10, 2019.

This was a rematch of the 2018 OCAA championship, won by Durham 21-15. The Lords and Grizzlies were both winners of their respective east and west divisions during the regular season, with Georgian one win away from a perfect season having gone 7-0 in their matches up to this point.

The Lords had reached the championship finale each season since joining OCAA men's rugby in 2018, while the Grizzlies continued their OCAA medal streak of five straight seasons. Georgian had reached the OCAA gold medal game four of the five past seasons, winning it all in 2016.

In addition, the OCAA bronze medal game between the Humber Hawks and Seneca Sting took place on Nov. 9, 2019. Humber was making its return to OCAA men's rugby after a short absence, while Seneca was hunting for its first OCAA medal since 2012. These West Division teams met earlier in the season, with Humber winning 45-12.
