SAINTE-VICTOIRE-DE-SOREL, Que. - The Champlain St. Lawrence Lions finished the week the way they started it, by winning. The men's and women's Lions teams captured the 2019 CCAA Golf National Championships.

Led by Louis-Alexandre Jobin-Colgan, who carded a final round of 70, the 2020 CCAA championship hosts won the men's team title with a combined team score of 892. This was two strokes better than their conference rivals and current host, the Boomerang d'André-Laurendeau. The Humber Hawks finished third with a team total of 905 strokes.

Jobin-Colgan's low round was good enough to claim the men's individual title as well finsihing with a tournamnet total of 216 shots. Justin Berget of the MacEawen Griffins signed an impressive two-under final card to finish one shot behind the the leader, while Jobin-Colgan's teammate Guillaume Dubois finished in third at 219 strokes.

In the women's team championship, the same three teams from the men's side captured the same three medals. The Champlain St. Lawrence Lions won team gold with a one-over final round to finish the tournament at an impressive seven-over par for the championship. The Boomerang d'André-Laurendeau finished the competition with the silver medals and the Humber Hawks completed the podium with the bronze.

The Lions' Élizabeth Labbé captured the women's individual gold with an amazing perfomance of three-under par. The CCAA's 2018 champion, Émily Romancew of the Islanders of John Abbott won silver with at two-over par and Labbé's teammate Anne-Sophie Bélanger finished in third at 10-over.

Jamaal Moussaoui of the St. Lawrence Vikings and Ciara Bonogofski of the Medicine Hat Rattlers earned the CCAA Exemplary Leadership Awards based on their conduct during the championship.

The CCAA Golf National Championships will remain in Quebec in 2020. The Champlain St. Lawrence Lions will get to defend their titles as Hosts at the Lorette Golf Club which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary.
