The entire schedule will feature doubleheaders alternating between men's and women's competition. Schools will play a condensed schedule as the leagues have been divided into four (4) regional pools instead of the traditional East-West format. All teams will play a double-round robin within its division, plus four additional interdivisional matches for a dozen (12) games each. For regular season interdivisional play, West will play South teams, while Central will face East clubs.

Opening night features close to a full slate of games as OCAA league competition takes place for the first time in nearly two years. The two-time defending OCAA women's champion Fanshawe Falcons (London) begin their season-delayed quest for a three-peat when they visit the Redeemer Royals (Ancaster) on Friday, Jan. 7, while the following day, the reigning men's champion Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) play host to the Cambrian Golden Shield (Sudbury).

City rivals will battle a couple of times in a short span, with the Battle of Sudbury (Cambrian vs. Boréal Vipères) taking place Wednesday, Jan. 19 and Wednesday, Feb. 9; the Battle of Hamilton (Redeemer vs. Mohawk Mountaineers) taking place Saturday, Jan. 8 and Wednesday, Feb. 9; and the Battle of Ottawa (Algonquin Wolves vs. La Cité Coyotes) taking place Wednesday, Jan. 19 and Friday, Feb. 4. Toronto rivals Centennial Colts, George Brown Huskies and Seneca Sting all play a total of six times against each other in Central Division action.

The top four (4) teams in each division will advance to the post-season. To create first-round match-ups between teams that haven't competed against each other in the regular season, West will play Central teams, while South will play East teams with the top seeds hosting the fourth place teams from the opposite division, while the third seed visits the second. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and OCAA medal matches will be played at designated championship sites from Feb. 25-27. Hosts of the men's and women's championships will be named at a later date.

All OCAA schedules for the 2021-22 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
