Cambrian was hoping the home court advantage would give them a slight edge and after losing the first set 19-25, they were able to pull some energy from the crowd to take the second set 25-19.
Alas, the Durham Lords who went undefeated in the East Division changed gears and took the next two sets and the match 25-17 and 25-14.
Cambrian finishing eighth in the West Division knew it was an uphill battle but they came to play. Rookie Marissa Beeson earned player of the game honors with her consistent attacks earning 12 kills with only 3 errors.
Cambrian moves to the consolation semi-final versus St. Clair at 3 p.m. Durham will face Niagara in the championship semi-final at 8 p.m.
