FANSHAWE NAMES WOODHOUSE NEW WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL HEAD COACH

LONDON, Ont. – Fanshawe Director of Athletics and Recreation, Nathan McFadden, announced today that Montana Woodhouse has been selected as the new Head Coach to lead the Fanshawe Falcons Women's Volleyball program.

Woodhouse has been the Lead Assistant Coach of the Falcons for three years, and helped lead the Falcons to their 2019-20 OCAA provincial gold medal. She participated in the CCAA Female Apprentice Coach Program, which is funded by Sport Canada and designed to identify and support women who demonstrate the desire and skill for coaching. Woodhouse has also been a coach for the Team Ontario program since 2019. She is a member of the London Volleyball Club Technical Committee and was the Head Coach of the girls LVC 16U team in 2020-21.

Head Coach, Woodhouse stated "I am honoured and excited for the opportunity to lead the Fanshawe Falcons Women's Volleyball Team. I would like to thank Patrick Johnston and Nathan McFadden for all their support through this process and I look forward to continuing to collaborate as the program grows. Fanshawe has a tradition of excellence and I am thrilled to follow in the footsteps of the coaches before me as we push the program to new heights. The Falcons program is full of strong women and I am privileged to be at the helm paving the way for future Falcons."

Fanshawe's McFadden stated, “I'm very excited to add Montana to our head coaching staff. She has tremendous character, great knowledge of the OCAA, and is an excellent role model for our female student-athletes. Our strategic use of coach development programs such as the Female Apprentice Coach program definitely put Montana in a position to take the next step in her coaching career. I want to thank both the CCAA and Sport Canada for this valuable initiative."
