OCAA CROSS COUNTRY MAJOR AWARDS

OCAA CROSS COUNTRY MAJOR AWARDS

Paul Boots of the St. Clair Saints is the 2022 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Cross Country Coach of the Year.

St. Clair was a double provincial medalist at last month's OCAA Cross Country Championships, with the men's team taking gold and the women's team earning silver. In addition, Jacob Fitzpatrick (Tecumseh) and Tyler Jones (LaSalle) won individual silver and bronze for the Saints, respectively.

In seven seasons with the Saints, Boots has led the St. Clair men's and women's teams to three provincial silver medals each to go with two OCAA men's gold along with a national title in 2018.

Boots has helped St. Clair to another five individual provincial medals, two national team medals and another national individual medal. All told, there are eight provincial medals and four national medals on Boots' resume.
