Lowry set the OCAA strikeout record in Fanshawe's critical 4-2 win over Conestoga on Sept. 24 in Windsor, Ont. She pitched a complete game with 19 strikeouts, breaking the record of 17 originally set 22 years ago by Seneca's Debbie Wadsworth, and matched by Rebecca Cunningham of Seneca in 2009. Lowry allowed two runs on two hits, walking none. The second-year hurler currently leads all of OCAA with 33 strikeouts, averaging 1.8 per inning. Lowry's ERA is also near the top of the league at 1.56. Fanshawe visits Conestoga in a doubleheader on Tuesday.
