Gordon, a third-year shortstop with the Fanshawe Falcons, went 2-for-4 in a 15-4 win at Lambton on Oct. 8. He scored three times, walked once, stole a base and knocked in three RBI. The lead off hitter also belted Fanshawe's first home run of the season. Gordon then hit a double and scored another run in the nightcap, a 9-0 win to complete the sweep of the twin bill versus the Lions, clinching a berth to the OCAA championship in the process. After an 0-3 start, the Falcons are riding a seven game win streak, currently the longest in OCAA.
