Ferreira loves the long ball. In both ends of a doubleheader Oct. 13 against Mohawk, the third-year third baseman homered as Humber won easily 15-0 and 13-3. Ferreira went 4-for-7 driving in five runs while scoring four times in the two contests. She went yard once again on Oct. 14 in the second game of a doubleheader against Seneca as Humber prevailed 14-3. Ferreira ended the regular season with six home runs to not only lead the OCAA but set a new Humber program record. The Hawks will now contend at the OCAA championship in Windsor, Ont., beginning Thursday.
