Pereira was named the Most Valuable Player at the OCAA Women's Softball Championship in Windsor, Ont. The third-year centerfielder got multiple hits in each of Durham's four games at the championship, including a 5-for-5 performance in the gold medal game as the Lords prevailed over host St. Clair 8-7 in nine innings. Overall Pereira was 12-for-17 for a .706 batting average, including a double, a triple, six RBI and six runs scored. She also added a stolen base for good measure. Prior to the championship, Pereira was named an OCAA League All-Star.
