Following an injury to Redeemer's regular goalkeeper, Johnston (who is usually a starter in the midfield) stepped up and went in goal without any practice for the first time since Grade 9. In two games, the third-year student-athlete posted a 0-0-2 record including a 0-0 shutout versus Mohawk in Johnston's OCAA debut on Sept. 14, turning aside all nine shots against, including a highlight reel save to secure the shutout. For the week, Johnston registered 12 saves allowing just one goal for a .875 save percentage and 0.50 GAA.
