Menzies was named Championship MVP leading the Humber Hawks to their record 16th OCAA men's basketball title. The fourth-year point guard scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-16 (50 per cent) shooting in Humber's 77-45 victory over the George Brown Huskies in the gold medal game. Menzies contributed a team-high 24 points the previous day in a narrow 66-64 semi-final win over the host Durham Lords. Menzies and the Hawks now search for the program's second national championship in three years in Sackville, N.B., from Mar. 13-16.
