Way not only made numerous big saves to help the Cambrian Golden Shield win a game on Sept. 9, the fourth-year goalkeeper stopped a late penalty kick against the St. Lawrence Surge in a 2-1 outcome. Way also assisted on the game-winning goal. The following day, Way started in goal against the Algonquin Thunder but ended up playing the second half at centre back due to injuries. Down three, Way helped settle the defence down and spurred the team into a big second half comeback, as the Golden Shield won 4-3.
