Omar led the St. Lawrence Surge in tries and points on Sept. 30 at Twin Elm Rugby Park in the National Capital Region. The second-year student-athlete scored the lone St. Lawrence try in a 12-5 loss to the host Algonquin Wolves, then followed up with two tries in a 17-5 win over the Loyalist Lancers and another two tries in a 29-5 victory over the Fleming Phoenix. Omar now has 11 total tries on the season. Omar's efforts helped propel the Surge to second place in the OCAA standings with one weekend competition to go before the championship.
