Russell recorded five goals for the Humber Hawks in two matches this week to lead the West Division in scoring for the second time. The third-year forward scored a hat trick in a 3-1 victory over the Niagara Knights on Oct. 11, then netted two more in a 6-1 win over the Conestoga Condors on Oct. 14. Russell helped the Hawks clinch the division with 13 total goals, as Humber finished the regular season without a loss for the second straight year. The Hawks are the only team not to have suffered a loss thus far during the 2023 campaign.
