For the second straight year, Appleyard was named OCAA Championship MVP, helping lead the St. Clair Saints to a third straight provincial championship at Stewart Burnett Park in Aurora this past weekend. In three games, the third-year outfielder went 6-for-11 at the plate, driving in 10 RBI while scoring five times. Appleyard had two hits in all three contests, while adding two walks and stealing three bases. Two of Appleyard's six hits were triples. Appleyard is part of a storied St. Clair program that has won eight OCAA championships in 10 seasons.
