Claydon was named OCAA Championship co-MVP as the St. Clair Saints successfully defended their provincial title. The newly crowned OCAA batting champion shifted into a higher gear at the championship, going 12-for-15 (.800) over five games, clubbing five home runs as the Saints rallied to win three straight elimination contests in a single day. Three of Claydon's round trippers came in the two gold medal games against the Durham Lords, avenging their only loss at the competition. Claydon scored eight times while driving in 13 RBI.
