Rice became just the sixth person, and the first since 2018, to successfully defend the women's individual gold medal at the OCAA Cross Country Championships at Shade's Mills Conservation Area in Cambridge on Oct. 28. Rice won in a time of 23:28.6, just over 17 seconds ahead of the second place runner. In addition, Rice led the Fanshawe Falcons to a silver medal in the team standings. Rice is also a member of the OCAA All-Ontario First-Team. Rice completed a perfect season, having won all three OCAA invitationals meets leading into provincials.
