The Humber Hawks upset the defending champion and previously unbeaten Durham Lords on the road in the OCAA semi-final on Nov. 5, earning a spot at the gold medal match. Tamayo played a large role in Humber's 23-20 overtime victory, finishing the match with 10 points. Tamayo nailed two converts and two penalty kicks - including the game-winner early in extra time. The third-year fullback was the Humber co-leader in points with 20 during the regular season. Humber visits the Georgian Grizzlies for the provincial crown this Sunday.
