Having three years of OCAA experience already with the Algonquin Thunder, Sara Maybee brought a wealth of talent and court savvy to the Loyalist Lancers. Sara's scoring prowess and defensive quickness paid immediate dividends to a talented Lancers squad.

Sara's ability to hit crucial shots, especially from behind the arc, made the Lancers a real threat during the 2007-08 season. Sara and the Lancers would make it all the way to the OCAA semi-finals, a historical moment for the Lancers women's basketball program. Sara finished fifth in the province in scoring with a total of 210 points, which included 41 three-pointers. Sara was named an OCAA League All-Star and would also capture the prestigious Dave Butler Award at the year-end Lancer Athletic Banquet.

In Sara's second year with the Lancers and one final season in the OCAA, Sara's scoring stats were improved from the previous season. The 2008-09 season would see Sara amass an incredible 270 points, finishing the year averaging 19 points per game for second in scoring in the province. Once again Sara's shooting from behind the arc was unstoppable scoring 45 three-pointers, still a Lancer record to date.

A combined total of 480 points currently puts Sara tied for third in Lancer scoring history. Sara also had a career-high of 44 points in a single game, which at this time is the highest in Loyalist history. Sara's career with the Lancers and the OCAA ended by being named a CCAA All-Canadian, a CCAA Academic All-Canadian and Loyalist's Female Athlete of the Year.
