October 31, 2022...WELLAND - The Niagara Knights men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over the Conestoga Condors Sunday afternoon.
Set scores were 25-21, 25-21 and 25-20. The Knights now sit at 2-0 in the OCAA West, and were recently nationally ranked by the CCAA at no. 4 in the country for the week of October 24th.
Head coach Steve Stone was pleased with his team's effort on the road.
"Always nice picking up a road win, those can be hard to come by," said Stone. "The boys came out and served tough and it put us in a position to win and I am happy with that result."
Elijah Bugiardini led the way for the Knights with 11 points - 10 kills, 6 digs and one ace followed by Tyler Carmichael with 7 points - 5 kills and two digs.
Niagara will finally make their home court debut on Friday, in what should be a thriller of a game as they take on the 3-0 Fanshawe Falcons at 6:00pm.
