Women's Volleyball Earn Split on Road to Wrap Up Semester

Welland, ON- The St. Clair women's volleyball team wrapped up their OCAA regular season first semester schedule on the road this weekend and came away with a split.

On Saturday, the Saints were in Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers and came away with a hard earned 3-1 win. With the loss Mohawk fell to 6-3 on the season. The Mountaineers are currently ranked 5^th in Ontario. Set scores for St. Clair were 23-25, 25-15, 26-24, and 29-27.

The women were in Welland on Sunday afternoon and suffered a 3-1 loss the Niagara College Knights. With the win the Knights improved to 6-3 on the season.  The Niagara women are currently ranked 6^th in Ontario. Set scores for Niagara were 25-18, 25-22, 23-25, and 25-20.

With the split on the weekend St. Clair's record now sits at 6-3 at the halfway point of the regular season heading into the exam and holiday break. The Saints are tied for 3^rd place in the tough OCAA West Division and are ranked 4^th in Ontario. The Saints are next in regular season action at home at the Sportsplex on Sunday, January 12 at 4 pm against Niagara.
