Women's Volleyball Earn Split on Road to Wrap Up Semester

Welland, ON- The St. Clair women's volleyball team wrapped up their OCAA regular season first semester schedule on the road this weekend and came away with a split.

On Saturday, the Saints were in Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers and came away with a hard earned 3-1 win. With the loss Mohawk fell to 6-3 on the season. The Mountaineers are currently ranked 5th in Ontario. Set scores for St. Clair were 23-25, 25-15, 26-24, and 29-27.

The women were in Welland on Sunday afternoon and suffered a 3-1 loss the Niagara College Knights. With the win the Knights improved to 6-3 on the season.  The Niagara women are currently ranked 6th in Ontario. Set scores for Niagara were 25-18, 25-22, 23-25, and 25-20.

With the split on the weekend St. Clair's record now sits at 6-3 at the halfway point of the regular season heading into the exam and holiday break. The Saints are tied for 3rd place in the tough OCAA West Division and are ranked 4th in Ontario. The Saints are next in regular season action at home at the Sportsplex on Sunday, January 12 at 4 pm against Niagara.
