Women's Basketball Splits Games vs Royals

The Conestoga Condors Women's Basketball team (1-3) split their away games against the Redeemer Royals (2-2).

The Condors started the game well and took the lead in the first quarter with a score of 16-12. The second quarter ended with both teams scoring 18 points. Whereas in the second half of the game, the Condors lost momentum and were unable to comeback. The game ended with a final score of 53-66.

Ramla Abdalla finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Olivia Coomber scored 14 points, secured 15 rebounds, and 3 steals. Charlotte Clifford also scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. 

Two days later, the Condors played another away game against the Royals and were able to bounce back for their first win of the season! The Condors won a tight match with a final score of 76-67.

Charlotte Clifford scored 36 points, secured 18 rebounds, and provided 5 assists and 2 steals. Abby Trafford scored 12 points and provided 2 assists. While Ramla Abdalla secured 8 rebounds, dished out 8 assists.

Charlotte Clifford ranks in the second in rebounds per game in the OCAA season with 14.8 rebounds per game.

The Condors will return home on February 26 to face off against the Lambton (1-2) at 1 PM.
