Grizzlies, Sting, come together for Mental Health.
The Georgian Grizzlies hosted the Seneca Sting for Bell Let's Talk day.
What Happened: The Georgian Grizzlies Women's Volleyball team hosted the Seneca Sting on Friday evening for Bell Let's Talk day, a rescheduled match from earlier in the week that was postponed due to poor weather.
It didn't take long for Seneca to find their stride in Georgian's gym, rallying a few point streaks to pull ahead of Georgian during each set and maintaining the momentum from those streaks. Ultimately, the Sting were able to capitalize on a handful of Grizzly miscommunications and misplays to seal the match from Georgian's rallying attacks, taking the match in three sets, 25-18, 25-15, and 25-15.
Georgian's Lauren Webb contributed six kills and five digs against the Sting. On Seneca's side, Ngameni Davina dished out twelve kills and ten digs to lead the Sting to their victory.
Teams came together before the match to take a group photo in support of Mental Health as part of Georgian's involvement in Bell Let's Talk day. Between the women and men's match, the Grizzlies were joined by the Mental Health and Well-Being team to highlight some mental health statistics, as well as some initiatives and support systems that Georgian has available for students.
