Men's Soccer Advance to Final 8

Windsor, ON- The St. Clair college men's soccer team were at home on Wednesday night in OCAA playoff action against the Redeemer Royals and came away with a hard fought 3-0 win.

The Saints got on the board in the 39th minute when Massimo Pollard (Windsor; Holy Names) put one in the bottom corner assisted by Mateo Grahovac (Windsor; Riverside). St. Clair controlled play for most of the match but did not score the insurance goal until the 88th minute when Tanner Page (Bothwell; West Elgin) scored from Pollard to secure the win. Grahovac made it 3-0 in injury time as the final whistle sounded.

Keeper Jonathan Rondinelli (Windsor; Riverside) was solid in goal earning the win and clean sheet turning aside 4 shots on goal. The Saints had 25 shot attempts compared to 10 for the Royals. 

With the win St. Clair will now travel to Toronto to take on the Seneca Sting on Saturday at 3 pm. The winner will advance to the OCAA Championship Final Four. Seneca finished in 2nd place in the East Division with a record of 6 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties and are ranked 5th in Ontario. The Saints were 3rd in the West Division with a record of 7 wins, 2 losses and a tie and are ranked 4th in Ontario.
