OSHAWA, Ont. – After dropping the opening set of their home opener on Thursday night, the Durham Lords men's volleyball team bounced back to take three straight en route to a 3-1 victory over the Loyalist Lancers.
Kyle Travis (Courtice, Ont.) finished with 12 points in the match, finishing with seven blocks, three aces and two kills.
Aidan Carne (Stoney Creek, Ont.) led the Durham offence with seven kills.
The Lancers were led by Josh Vreugdenhil, who finished with seven kills, four aces and a block.
Durham will now hit the road to face the Centennial Colts on Saturday in an afternoon match. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
