A single-division format will remain for 2023 with teams playing a double round robin format totalling 14 regular season matches each.

Women's rugby sevens has a unique structure where matches will be played on four separate weekends at single locations. The matches on Sept. 16 will be hosted by the Seneca Sting (North York) and Loyalist Lancers (Belleville); the Durham Lords (Oshawa) will host Sept. 23-24; the Algonquin Wolves (Ottawa) and Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) will share duties on Sept. 30; and the Fleming Knights (Peterborough) host all matches from Oct. 14-15.

The Lords ran the table in 2022, going 20-for-20 to win the OCAA gold medal. Durham's title defence begins at Seneca on Sept. 16 with matches against Seneca, Humber and the Conestoga Condors (Kitchener).

A total 56 matches will be played over the six competition dates in 2023. The top six teams at the conclusion of the regular season - including the host Loyalist Lancers (Belleville) - move on to the OCAA championship. If Loyalist finishes in seventh place, it will replace the sixth seed.

The top two teams advance directly to the OCAA semi-finals, while the remaining four play in the quarter-finals, with the two winners advancing. All championship matches will take place on Oct. 28 at Loyalist College (Belleville).

All OCAA schedules for the 2023-24 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
