Panthers lose pair on the road

Windsor, ON – The Canadore Panthers men's basketball team head down south for a pair of games as they look for their first win of the season.

First stop for the Panthers was to visit the St. Clair Saints, both teams were very competitive early but the Saints went on a 11-3 run to finish the first quarter. Behind down by ten to start the second quarter the Panthers closed the gap but the Saints took over and were hitting shots increasing there lead 52-36 at halftime. Coming out for the second half the Saints were able to score 60 points in the paint, leading to St. Clair winning the game 110-66.

Moses Orange (Scarborough, ON) lead the way for the Panthers with 15 points.

Sarnia, ON – Coming off a tough defeat yesterday, the Panthers look to bounce back against the Lambton Lions.

The Panthers look to set the pace early taking a 6-2 lead in the first quarter. With both teams hitting shots late in the quarter we saw Lambton taking an 8-point heading into the second quarter.

Lambton started the second strong scoring 26 points and only allowing the Panthers to score 14 points bring the halftime score to 52-31.

With the Lion strong play in the paint scoring 50 points was to much for the Panthers as Lambton would go on and take the match 91-67.

Next for the Panthers will be at home to take on Fanshawe Falcons on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. All games will be stream live on OCAA LIVE.
