Men's basketball pick up pair of wins at Lambton, St. Clair

WINDSOR, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (12-1, 6-0 OCAA) topped the 100-point plateau twice in less than 24 hours, in a pair of wins of Lambton (107-81) and St. clair (105-82).

"Any time you can make this road swing and get two wins, you're happy," head coach Jim Flack said. "Our scoring and minutes got spread nicely, so I think we're coming home better from the experience."

The contest against Lambton was close throughout the entire first half, with Lambton leading 18-14 after one and 46-44 at the break.

Sheridan slowly began to take control in the third quarter and went into the final period leading 66-60, where they broke the game open, out-scoring the homeside 41-21 over the final 10 minutes.

Jemol Edwards scored a game-high 27 - including 14 in the fourth quarter alone - while Nick Campbell (16), Terrell Carr (15) and AJ Thomson (11) were also in double figures.

The narrative was similar against St. Clair, though it was more steady and less prolific for the Bruins.

Sheridan led 45-38 at the half and out-scored St. Clair 60-44 in the second half to break the game open.

Thomson led the way with 22, while Campbell (19), Nav Deol (15), and John Avery (10) were also in double figures.

Sheridan will host their rivals from Humber in the 118th edition of The Game on Nov. 23 (8pm).
