The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is pleased to announce that North York’s Seneca Sting will represent Ontario at the 2006 BMO Financial Group Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s National Basketball Championship.
The Seneca Sting (North York) ended a nine-year drought as they earned their first OCAA Women’s Basketball Championship since 1995-96 over the weekend.
With eight teams from the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Women’s Basketball League converging at Redeemer University College for the Championships this weekend, the OCAA is pleased to announce the 2005-06 women’s basketball league all-stars and major award winners.
The top two teams from each region will receive byes to the Championships. Meanwhile the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place teams will try and earn their spot at the Championships by competing in Qualifying Crossover Games.
