SARNIA, ON - It wasn't quite the farewell gift Sarah Goodman envisioned in her last OCAA game before graduation, but the Lady Lions Basketball put up a good fight before falling 77-62 to the Redeemer Royals. Goodman, a member of the Fire Science program, completed her final game as a Lambton Lion by picking up 4 points and 2 rebounds. 

Lambton came out strong in this contest, putting up an early advantage and controlling the tempo of the game. A couple of costly turnovers led to a 6-0 run for the Royals as they pulled ahead and didnt look back. Some questionably foul calls early in the 2nd quarter helped to build the lead for Redeemer, connecting on their chances at the charity stripe. By the end of the 1st half Redeemer had built themselves a 43-28 advantage.

The second half was much the same as the first, with Redeemer running a tough full court press and forcing turnovers into easy baskets. The Lions, led by Madisyn Campbell and Christine Fleischer were excellent in the 2nd half, combining for 23 points but ultimately it wasn't enough, falling to the Royals.

Campbell continued to be the go-to scorer for Lambton, notching 20 points while grabbing 9 rebounds. Flesicher also had a great all-around game, putting up 19 and 8 while Lauren Van Leerzem, who fouled out of the contest, still grabbed 9 rebounds and added 5  points to help Lambton. Rounding out the scoring were Lindsay Graham with 5 points, Maddi Basso with 3, Jordi Pisiak and Kelsey Hood with 2, and Daylin Galvin and Sara Williams with 1 each. 

Lambton will be off for the holidays before resuming action in the new year.
