The St. Clair College women's volleyball team opened their OCAA home schedule on Thursday night by defeating the Redeemer University Royals 3-0. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-11, 26-24, and 25-5
Outsider hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) led the way offensively for the Saints with 13 kills, 4 service aces and 10 digs. Ashley Maleyko (LaSalle; Villanova) also had a solid game with 6 kills, 2 service aces, 2 stuff blocks and 8 digs. Setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names) had a great match as well dishing out 26 assists and adding 3 stuff blocks, 2 kills, 2 service aces and 8 digs.
The Saints are now 2-0 on the season while Redeemer dropped to 2-2. St. Clair is currently ranked 4th in Ontario.
St. Clair is next in action on Friday night at 8 pm when they host the Mohawk Mountaineers at the Sportsplex
