Lions Bow to Saints in Season Opener

WINDSOR, ON - The Lambton Lions started the OCAA regular season on the road in Windsor last night and dropped at 96-78 decision to St. Clair. Branden Padgett led the Lions with 35 points and six rebounds. Jason Marshell had a strong start to the season with 16 points. Scoring for the Lions was rounding out by Xavian Edwards with 14, Mitch Humby four, Colton Vaters three, Paul Whitson and Kurtis Brisebois with two each and Mark Lue-Hue one.

"We had a hard time on the glass in the first half and there wasn't a path back from that," said Coach Grant. "We were out rebounded 15-7 on the defensive end which was frustrating. We came out in the second half with a little more effort and did some good things. We saw flashes from a number of our new players and I think they will see an improvement in play half to half when we look at the tape from this one."
