Women's Soccer Take Down Fanshawe

The St. Clair College women's soccer team travelled up the 401 to London on Saturday to take on their rival Fanshawe College.

In a well played match the Saints came away with a solid 3-0 win over the Falcons.

Victoria Walsh (Georgetown; Christ the King) opened the scoring in the 13th minute assisted by Alexa Mognon (LaSalle; Assumption) . Alexis Costantin (Windsor; Brennan) put the Saints up 2-0 in the 32nd minute on a pass from Talia Liburdi (Tecumseh; St. Anne's). Abby Redmond (Tecumseh; L'Essor) rounded out the scoring from Leah Burrell (Windsor; Brennan) for St. Clair late in the first half in the 44th minute

The Saints had 24 shot attempts in the game while the Falcons had 7. The Saints had the edge in corner kicks 13-1. Lilly Estephan (Windsor; Brennan) turned aside on 6 shots she faced to earn the clean sheet.

St. Clair now has 2 wins on the season while Fanshawe dropped to 0-3.

St. Clair is next in action when they travel to Redeemer University (Ancaster) on Friday and Mohawk College (Hamilton) on Saturday for a doubleheader on the road.
