Women's Volleyball Lose Tight Match to Humber

Windsor, ON - The St. Clair women's volleyball team wrapped up their OCAA regular season first semester home schedule on Sunday afternoon and suffered a tough 3-1 loss to the Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) in an exciting back and forth entertaining match.

Set scores for Humber were 24-26, 25-21, 25-22, and 25-23. Rookie outside hitter Chantal DeVlugt (Wyoming; LCCVI) had a big game with 12 kills, 1 service ace and 2 digs. 3rd year middle Kiana Gelissen (LaSalle; Sandwich Secondary) had a great match as well with 3 kills, 6 stuff blocks, 5 service aces and 3 digs. 5th year Libero Julie Ann Milling (Woodstock; Woodstock Collegiate) had a huge defensive game with 22 digs and outstanding serve reception throughout the match.

With the loss St. Clair's record dropped to 5-2 while Humber improved to 4-2. St. Clair is currently ranked 3rd in Ontario and 14th in Canada while the Hawks are ranked 4th in Ontario.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday, November 30 when travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.
