No. 2 Men's Volleyball extends streak with sweep of No. 9 Redeemer

ETOBICOKE— No. 2 Humber men's volleyball concluded their three-match homestand with a win, defeating the No. 9 Redeemer Royals (2-1, 3rd West) Wednesday evening at the North Campus Gym, 3-0. The final set scores were 25-19, 25-22, and 25-20.

Joshua Fadare and Rrezart Sadiku were outstanding for Humber in this one. Fadare had a game-high 17 points on 12 kills, three aces and two blocks, while Sadiku finished with 15 points on 13 kills and two aces.

Humber put together a terrific opening set leading it from start to finish, as they grabbed momentum early in the match. Rrezart Sadiku had a strong first set leading the way with five points on four kills and one ace.

The Hawks fell behind early in the second set as they trailed the Royals, 8-6. Humber would take control from that point going on an 8-2 run to take a four-point lead. The Hawks held the lead for the remainder of the set grabbing a 2-0 set lead.

After a back and forth start to the third set, Humber again put together an impressive run forcing a Redeemer timeout with the score at 13-8. The Royals would manage to battle back, getting the deficit down to one point before a final Hawks run closed out the match in straight sets. Maximum Crowder had a dominant third set for Humber and finished the match with a season-high five kills.

No. 2 Humber volleyball (3-0, 1st West) will now head on the road where they will face their third straight ranked opponent in the No. 14 Mohawk Mountaineers (2-0, 2nd West) on Feb. 19. First serve is set for 3 pm.
