The No. 11-ranked Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball team bounced back into the win column after defeating the Cambrian Golden Shield in three straight sets (25-15, 25-19, 25-22).

Head Coach Brad McClure said that the team had a much better performance after losing their last match.

"I think we did a good job from the service line, which made things a lot easier for us this game," McClure said.

Brayden Griffith (Winnipeg, MB) led the way for the Mountaineers with 12 kills and six digs. Nathan Snippe (St. Ann's, ON) contributed nine kills, six digs and two blocks.

With one final game on tap for the regular season, McClure said the team will focus on the mental prep before playoffs.

Mohawk will be celebrating seniors Snippe, Griffith, and brothers Michael Kong (Burlington, ON) and Andrew Kong (Burlington, ON) as they play their last regular season game as Mountaineers on Mar. 6.

The Mountaineers to conclude the season will host the Boréal Vipères at 3 p.m. inside the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre.
