Baseball Split in London

London, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball team lost 2-0 Friday night to Fanshawe College at London's Labatt Park but rebounded for a 4-0 win in the night cap. With the split the Saints are now 13-5 with 2 games remaining on their OCAA schedule slated for Wednesday night versus Fanshawe at Lacasse Park.

In the 2-0 loss St. Clair starter Miguel Cienfuegos (Laval, QC) went unrewarded for his 6 innings of work after giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 8 batters. Kevin Dion (Newmarket, ON), Max Ayarza (Bocas del Toro, Panama) and Patrick Kibble (Windsor, ON/Riverside) each had a hit in the game but the Saints could not scratch a run falling 12 times by way of the strikeout as a team to the Fanshawe starter.

In game two the Saints put up 3 runs in the 1st inning and added a run in the 4th to close the scoring. St. Clair pitcher Micah Harris (Cottam, ON/Essex District) threw a complete game shut-out giving up only 3 hits while fanning 6 batters with only 1 walk. Garik Godard (Belle River, ON/Belle River District) had a hit and 2 RBI's for the Saints in the win.
