Men's Volleyball Drop Season Opener

Ancaster, ON- The St. Clair college men's volleyball team opened their OCAA regular season on Saturday afternoon in Ancaster.  A young and inexperienced Saints team struggled against a veteran solid Redeemer squad.

The Saints lost to the Redeemer Royals by a score of 3-0. Set scores were 25-19, 25-13 and 25-13.

Rookie Frankie Freisen (Staples; Tilbury District) led the way for St. Clair offensively with 6 kills. Rookie Libero Kyle Tran (Windsor; FJ Brennan) had a solid defensive match with 6 digs.

The Saints have 10 new players on their roster of 13 including 9 rookies.

The Saints are next in action on Friday, October 26th when they host the Mohawk Mountaineers in their home opener at the Sportsplex at 8 pm
