Final Weekend Split for Lady Lions

SARNIA, ON - With home court on their side, the Lambton Lady Lions ended their season with a win and a loss, bringing their season record to 5-13. It was also the final games for forwards Lauren Van Leerzem and Sara Williams, and guard Lindsay Graham, as they will be graduating at the end of the year. 

The Lambton Lions defeated the Sheridan Bruins 72-55 on Saturday night. Madisyn Campbell led the team with 24 points. Lauren Van Leerzem put up a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Christine Fleischer had 21 rebounds for Lambton to go along with eight points. Scoring was rounded out by Jordi Pisiak with four, and Valeria Goetelar, Maddi Basso, Daylin Galvin and Morgan Campbell all with two.

The Lambton Lions fell 115-47 to the Canadian #1 Humber Hawks on Sunday afternoon to finish up 2016-17. Madysin Campbell led the Lions with 19 points while Christine Fleischer scored 14. Lauren vanLeerzem scored 10 points in her last game as a Lion to go along with seven rebounds. Scoring was rounded out by Morgan Campbell with three and Valerie Gotelaer with one.
