Six Mohawk Mountaineers finished in double-digit scoring as the No. 8 nationally ranked Mountaineers blew by the Canadore Panthers 103-73.

Jerry Jr. Mercury (Scarborough, ON) nearly finished with another double-double, scoring a team-high 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Stefan Anisko (Haldimand County, ON) had another great scoring game, adding 21 points, 15 of which came in the first quarter.

Mohawk's leading scorer Daniel Graham (Hamilton, ON) played limited minutes, but head coach Brian Jonker was satisfied with the way his team responded offensively on their way to a 30-point blowout victory.

"Of course, we rely on (Graham), but one of the strengths of this team is our ability to adapt to different game situations," said Jonker.

With two regular season games remaining, Mohawk will soon have its sights on playoff basketball. They currently own a 14-2 record and sit atop the OCAA West.

The Mountaineers will play their final road game of the 2022-23 season on Feb. 15 against cross-city rival Redeemer Royals at 8 p.m.
