The St. Clair College men's soccer team travelled to the GTA area this weekend for two tough OCAA games and came away with a split.
On Saturday afternoon, the 9th ranked Saints took on the 6th ranked University of Toronto Mississauga Eagles (2-1) and came away with a solid 3-1 win. Goals scorers were Matt Montaleone (Windsor; Holy Names), Evan Mendonca (West Lorne; West Elgin Secondary) and Bastien Aquilera (Chile) on a penalty kick. Keeper Haiden Gelinas (Windsor; St. Joseph's) was solid in goal in picking up the win.
On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair was in Oakville to challenge the 4th ranked Sheridan Bruins (2-1). The Saints played well missing a couple great chances early to take the lead including a post, but ended up dropping the game 3-0 for their first loss of the season.
St. Clair is now 2-1 and will open their home schedule next weekend hosting the undefeated Humber Hawks on Saturday at 4 pm at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg.
