(London, Ontario) – On Saturday afternoon, the Falcons (2-1-2) were defeated by the seventh nationally ranked Conestoga Condors (4-0) at the Fanshawe Soccer Field. The final score of the match was 3-0 for the visitors.
The Condors went up one during the 20th minute when Conestoga's Josip-Pavle Stojanovic (Vinkovci) was assisted by his teammate Gamtessa Berehe (Kitchener, ON). Later in the first, the visitors tried for the back of the net, but defender Carlos Cabral (London, ON) made an exquisite save for the Falcons. Entering halftime, the match stood at 1-0 in Conestoga's favour.
During the second, the Condors scored in the 64th minute and shortly after in the 68th minute. The Condors won the game 3-0.
During their next game on Tuesday, September 26, the Birds will face the Lambton Lions (0-5) at home. Kicking off at 5 p.m., Fanshawe looks to claim victory against the Lions for the second time this season.
