Mohawk Mountaineers men's soccer dropped the opening game of their season 6-0 to the St. Clair Saints.
The Mountaineers struggled in the opening half, but came back with a different attitude and more intensity in the final 45 minutes.
Head coach Jordan Brown explained the struggles for his Mohawk team.
"We lacked defensive intensity in key moments and were ball watching too often," Brown said.
But the coach didn't see only negatives in the tough loss.
"We responded quite well at the start of the second half," Brown said. "we tried to move the ball better and get some possession in the game."
The Mountaineers next play Sept. 10 when they travel to Sarnia, ON to play the Lambton Lions at 4 p.m.
